Using Global Presets in Divi

Global Presets let you keep your site consistent by reusing the same design styles across multiple modules. Change a preset once, and it updates everywhere it’s used.

Step 1 – Enable the Visual Builder

Go to any page on your site and click Enable Visual Builder in the WordPress admin bar.

Step 2 – Open a Module’s Settings

Hover over a module (e.g. text, image, button) and click the gear icon to open its settings.

Step 3 – Apply a Global Preset

At the top of the settings panel, click the Preset dropdown menu.
Choose from the available global presets (e.g., “Primary Button,” “Heading Style”).

Step 4 – Create a New Global Preset (Optional)

  1. Style your module the way you want.

  2. In the Preset dropdown, click Create New Preset from Current Styles.

  3. Give it a name (e.g., “Blue CTA Button”).
Now this preset can be applied to any other module of the same type.

Step 5 – Save Changes

Click the green checkmark to confirm. Then click Save (bottom-right purple circle).

Step 6 – Update Presets Site-Wide (Optional)

If you edit a global preset later, Divi will ask if you want to update all modules using that preset. Confirm to apply the change everywhere at once.

Additional Notes

  • Use global presets for things like headings, buttons, and image styles to save time.

  • Keep naming consistent so your presets are easy to identify later.

  • Presets help keep branding uniform across your site.
