Adding Links to Your Menu in WordPress

You can link your site’s menu items to pages, blog posts, or even external websites.


Step 1 – Log in to WordPress

From WHMCS or /wp-admin, log in to your WordPress dashboard.


Step 2 – Go to Appearance → Menus

In the left-hand WordPress menu, click Appearance, then Menus.

 


Step 3 – Select the Correct Menu

Choose the menu you want to update (e.g., Primary Menu) and click Select.


Step 4 – Add a Page Link

  1. In the left-hand column, check the box next to the page you want.

  2. Click Add to Menu.
    The new page link will appear at the bottom of your menu structure.


Step 5 – Add a Blog Post or Category Link

Switch to the Posts or Categories tab.
Check what you want to add, then click Add to Menu.


Step 6 – Add a Custom Link

  1. Click Custom Links in the left-hand menu.

  2. Enter the full URL (e.g., https://example.com).

  3. Enter the Link Text you want to display.

  4. Click Add to Menu.


Step 7 – Save Your Menu

Drag and drop items to the correct order, then click Save Menu.


Additional Notes

  • Custom links are perfect for linking to external sites or documents.

  • Indent links slightly to create dropdown menus.

  • Always test links after saving to ensure they go to the correct destination.
