Resetting a Password in WordPress
If you’ve forgotten your WordPress password (or just want to change it), you can reset it quickly from the login screen or inside the dashboard.
Option 1 – Reset from the Login Screen
Step 1 – Go to the Login Page
Navigate to your login page:www.yourdomain.co.nz/wp-login.php

Step 2 – Click Lost your password?
Below the login form, click the Lost your password? link.

Step 3 – Enter Your Email or Username
Type in your account email address or username, then click Get New Password.

Step 4 – Check Your Email
You’ll receive an email with a password reset link. Click the link to open the reset page.
⚠️ Don’t see the email? Check your spam or junk folder.

Step 5 – Create a New Password
Enter a new secure password, then click Save Password.

Option 2 – Change Password from the Dashboard
Step 1 – Log in to WordPress
From WHMCS or /wp-login.php, log in with your current password.
Step 2 – Go to Your Profile
In the left-hand menu, click Users → Profile.

Step 3 – Update Your Password
Scroll down to Account Management → Set New Password.
Enter your new password and click Update Profile.

Use a strong password with letters, numbers, and symbols.

Password managers (like LastPass or 1Password) help keep logins secure.

If you don’t receive the reset email, your host may need to check mail settings.
