Replacing & Adding Images in Divi

Images bring your site to life, and with Divi it’s easy to swap them out or add new ones using the Image Module.

Step 1 – Enable the Visual Builder

Go to the page where you want to update an image and click Enable Visual Builder in the WordPress admin bar.

Step 2 – Hover Over the Image

Find the image you want to replace.
When you hover, a grey Image Module box will appear.

Step 3 – Open Image Settings

Click the gear icon on the image module to open the Image Settings Panel.

Step 4 – Replace the Image

In the Content tab:

  • Click the image thumbnail.

  • Choose an image from your Media Library or upload a new one.

  • Click Upload an Image.

Step 5 – Adjust Design Settings (Optional)

Use the Design tab to:

  • Change image alignment (left, right, centre).

  • Add borders, shadows, or rounded corners.

Step 6 – Save Changes

Click the green checkmark inside the settings panel, then click Save (bottom-right purple circle).

Step 7 – Exit and Review

Click Exit Visual Builder to return to the live page and confirm the new image displays correctly.

Additional Notes

  • Use optimised images (see “Optimising Images for Web”) for best performance.

  • You can add new images anywhere by inserting a new Image Module into a row or section.

  • Divi supports JPG, PNG, GIF, SVG, and WebP formats.
