Replacing & Adding Videos in Divi

Videos are a great way to showcase your products, services, or brand story. Divi makes it easy to add or replace videos using the Video Module.

Step 1 – Enable the Visual Builder

Go to the page you want to edit and click Enable Visual Builder in the WordPress admin bar.

Step 2 – Find or Add a Video Module

  • To replace an existing video, hover over it and click the gear icon.

  • To add a new video, click the + icon in your row/column and select Video Module.

Step 3 – Add Your Video

In the Content tab, choose one of the following options:

  • Upload a Video File → MP4, WebM, or other supported formats.

  • Embed a Video → Paste a YouTube or Vimeo URL.

Step 4 – Adjust Design Settings (Optional)

In the Design tab, you can:

  • Change the video thumbnail overlay.

  • Add play icons or custom overlays.

  • Adjust spacing and alignment.

Step 5 – Save Your Changes

Click the green checkmark inside the settings panel, then click Save (bottom-right purple circle).

Step 6 – Exit and Preview

Click Exit Visual Builder to preview your video on the live page.

Additional Notes

  • For best performance, use YouTube/Vimeo embeds instead of large file uploads.

  • Divi automatically creates a responsive video player for mobile devices.

  • You can set a custom overlay image so visitors see a nice thumbnail before playing.
