Clearing Cache to See Updates in WordPress

Sometimes changes don’t appear right away because your browser or site is showing a cached (saved) version of the page. Clearing cache makes sure you’re seeing the latest updates.

Step 1 – Refresh Your Browser Cache

First, try a hard refresh in your browser:

  • Windows: Ctrl + Shift + R

  • Mac: Cmd + Shift + R

Step 2 – Clear Browser Cache Manually

If the hard refresh doesn’t work, clear your browser cache in settings.

  • Chrome: Settings → Privacy → Clear Browsing Data

  • Safari: Preferences → Advanced → Show Develop Menu → Empty Caches

Step 3 – Clear WordPress Cache (WP Rocket)

All LFW sites use WP Rocket for caching.

  1. Log in to WordPress.

  2. In the top admin bar, hover over WP Rocket.

  3. Click Clear Cache.

Step 4 – Clear Specific Page Cache (Optional)

If only one page is affected:

  1. Go to Pages → All Pages.

  2. Hover over the page name.

  3. Click Clear This Cache.

Step 5 – Check Your Updates

Reload the page and confirm your edits now appear.

Additional Notes

  • Clearing cache does not delete content — it only refreshes stored copies.

  • Visitors may also need to refresh their browser to see your latest changes.

  • If issues persist, also clear any CDN cache (e.g., Cloudflare) if enabled.
